There is a woman missing, Nancy Guthrie.  Her disappearance and the family's reaction remind me of the time of JonBenet Ramsey case made the news. I wonder what was going on back then.

The JonBenét Ramsey case, which began with her murder in December 1996, occurred during a period marked by major cultural and news events. These included the finalization of the O.J. Simpson civil trial, the rise of the internet/dot-com boom, the death of Princess Diana (1997), and the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. It was a time of intense media fascination with high-profile crime and celebrity scandals.
Other significant events coinciding with this period include:
OJ Simpson Civil Trial (1996–1997): Following his criminal acquittal, the wrongful death civil suit concluded in early 1997, finding him liable, which dominated media headlines alongside the Ramsey case.
Death of Princess Diana (August 1997): Occurred just months after the Ramsey case began, dominating global media.
The Heaven's Gate Cult Suicides (March 1997): 39 members committed suicide in California, another major crime story.
President Clinton-Monica Lewinsky Scandal (1997–1998): The unfolding political scandal dominated news cycles in the years immediately following the 1996 murder.
Clone Sheep Dolly (1996-1997): The first mammal cloned from an adult cell was announced in early 1997.

Same exact people from 30 years ago. LOL
